Deadlock 2025 Update: Major Release with Minimal Size

Valve's back from their New Year break, and while we anticipated a hefty Deadlock patch after the shift away from bi-weekly updates, the first update of 2025 is surprisingly modest.

This minor patch focuses solely on Yamato, implementing a subtle nerf to his Shadow Transformation (reduced damage scaling and attack speed bonus at level one). Further adjustments include nerfs to Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, along with a minor rework of Alchemical Fire.

A more substantial patch is anticipated, though the timing remains uncertain. Predicting a release date is currently impossible.

It's noteworthy that Deadlock has experienced a player base decline, possibly due to the popularity of Marvel Rivals. However, a consistent 7,000–19,000 concurrent players during its deep beta phase is still a respectable figure. Remember, Valve has yet to reveal any release dates or monetization plans.
