Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfall relaunch has unearthed another reputation bug impacting Warlock players. While Destiny 2 has enjoyed a positive period with new content like "Into the Light" and "The Final Shape," a recent surge in bugs has dampened the experience. Bungie actively addresses these issues, but new problems seem to emerge with each weekly reset.
Recent bugs have ranged from granting free rewards for AFK Crucible participation to providing unlimited Paracausal Shots with Hawkmoon. Warlocks have been particularly affected by a persistent reputation bug hindering Gambit XP gains, slowing their rank progression compared to Titans and Hunters. This problem, it appears, extends beyond Gambit.
The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with increased Vanguard reputation boosts and double rewards. However, Warlocks are experiencing significantly reduced XP gains compared to other classes, even with the bonus enabled.
Warlock Reputation Bug in Destiny 2
The community has highlighted the disparity in Vanguard reputation XP, with Warlocks consistently receiving less than Titans and Hunters for ritual activities. Many players initially dismissed the slower leveling as unusual, unaware of the underlying bug. Surprisingly, this issue has apparently persisted for months without official acknowledgment from Bungie. The problem gained wider attention last week when players noticed the flawed XP gains in Gambit matches.
Currently, players can only raise awareness and hope Bungie addresses the issue. Bungie has been actively resolving other problems; Update 8.0.0.5 addressed numerous issues, including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids—a significant improvement following "The Final Shape" expansion.
