Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where To Find Mussels

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a host of new ingredients, some easier to find than others. Mussels, a type of shellfish described as surprisingly good water filters, can be particularly elusive. Unlike some shellfish, they only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes, and their spawn points can be unpredictable.

Unlocking Mussel Spawns in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically in these areas:

• The Elysian Fields
• The Fiery Plains
• The Statue's Shadow
• Mount Olympus

While some players report easily finding Mussels in these locations, others find them rare and inconsistently spawning. One potential hotspot is near trial areas, such as the first trial in the Elysian Fields (where you unlock Hades).

A cluster of Mussels can also be found behind a hidden bush in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest. Unlocking this area may increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.

Using Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike other seafood, Mussels aren't used in crafting. Their primary use is as a cooking ingredient in these recipes:

• Garlic Steam Mussels
• Mussel Risotto
• Steamed Mussels

Mussels also restore +150 energy when consumed, or can be sold for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
