Dune Awakening received new trailer and official release date

The highly anticipated survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, is set to launch on May 20th for PC, following the success of Denis Villeneuve's film adaptations. A console release will follow at a later date. In the meantime, a new gameplay trailer offers a glimpse into the game's world.

The trailer showcases the game's key features: the harsh Arrakis desert landscape, extensive base-building mechanics, thrilling combat encounters, and the iconic sandworms. It's everything a Dune fan could hope for.

Players will take on the role of a prisoner on Arrakis, beginning their journey with an escape from captivity. Their quest? To unravel the mystery surrounding the vanished Fremen.

To prepare PC players for launch day, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows players to optimize their in-game settings and craft their characters ahead of time, ensuring a smooth launch experience.
