The release date of Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed by four weeks to allow for additional polish. It will now launch on September 19, 2025.
Developer Techland announced that Kyle Crane’s brutal zombie-slaying journey will reach players slightly later than planned, moving from its original August 21 release date.
The studio explained the decision in a blog post: “Our goal has always been to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever created. To honor that promise, we’ve decided to shift the release date to September 19, 2025 to add more polish.”
“We understand this may be disappointing,” the Polish studio added, “but our experience has shown how critical the first impression truly is. With just four more weeks, we can refine the final details that turn good into great—fine-tuning gameplay balance, improving UI clarity, enhancing physics quality, polishing cutscenes and animations, and adding those final small touches.”
Alongside the announcement, Techland confirmed that The Beast will be available to play in a public demo at this year’s gamescom. Next week, they’ll share more updates on the game’s progress with a deep dive into its gore. Tasty.
