Enhanced Bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign Mod Revealed

FromSoftware has teased "enhanced encounters" with the major Nightlords of Elden Ring's Nightreign expansion, set to begin later this month. One enterprising modder has already discovered the foundational elements for these new battles and made them playable in a current mod.

On June 3, the official Elden Ring account confirmed that, in addition to the upcoming Nightreign DLC and the new Duo Expeditions feature, "enhanced fights against existing Nightlords" would launch this month. While details were sparse, this announcement prompted the community to start investigating the game's files.

Modder TerraMag (as reported by PC Gamer) located this boss content within the current game and created a mod to unlock it. It's important to note these are unfinished versions based on enhanced asset sets already present in the files.

The findings, documented in YouTube videos, appear to reveal third-phase transformations for several Nightlords, including Adel, Libra, and Caligo. These phases can introduce new attack patterns, altered boss models, and fresh challenges for Nightfarers to overcome.

These are, of course, unfinished and not part of the official game, offering only a preview of what the enhanced fights may bring later this month. For players seeking a new challenge beyond the existing boss encounters, this mod provides a compelling reason to return to the ever-changing Lands Between.
