Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) is set to deliver a thrilling lineup of content in April, featuring the much-anticipated addition of Spider-Woman. Born as Jessica Drew, her journey to becoming a superhero began tragically with uranium exposure during her childhood. In a desperate bid to save her, her father, a brilliant geneticist, experimented on her using a concoction of spider DNA. After overcoming the initial adverse effects, Jessica emerged with extraordinary spider-like abilities, ultimately taking on the mantle of Spider-Woman. Fans can look forward to adding her to their roster starting April 17th.

Before Spider-Woman joins the fray, MCOC will introduce another fascinating champion, Lumatrix, on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as a lethal assassin, Lumatrix specializes in infiltration and elimination, harnessing the power of light in his deadly missions.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with high stakes. Carina suffers severe injuries after an encounter with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom forms an uneasy alliance with the Fantastic Four. The spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the tension, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges as a formidable threat.

Starting April 9th and running through May 7th, a new Event Quest called "Spy Games" will challenge players. Black Widow, investigating the enigmatic Eidols, enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix returns with a vengeance in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various Champions. Players must hunt these targets down to claim their rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" makes a comeback, offering players a chance to assemble their most powerful Saga champions. Completing this sector can earn you Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
