Tin Man Games has just released Eye of the Dragon as part of the Fighting Fantasy Classics series, available now on all major digital platforms including Android, iOS, and Steam for both PC and Mac. If you're a fan of classic dungeon crawls, this title is a nostalgic trip back in time.
This marks the first digital release of Eye of the Dragon since its initial publication in 2010. Penned by Ian Livingstone, co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series, the book originally debuted in 2005 during the Wizard Books revival. Its origins trace back even further to a mini-adventure featured in Dicing with Dragons. With this digital launch, Eye of the Dragon proudly takes its place as the 19th entry in the Fighting Fantasy Classics collection.
In Eye of the Dragon, you find yourself navigating a monster-filled labyrinth beneath Darkwood Forest, with the ultimate goal of uncovering the legendary Golden Dragon—the most prized treasure in Allansia. Your adventure begins in a tavern in Fang, where a mysterious stranger presents you with a life-changing opportunity, albeit one that involves drinking a dubious potion that could spell your doom.
As you delve into the dungeon, you'll encounter a myriad of dangers and treasures: deadly traps, magical artifacts, scattered jewels, and numerous creatures with sharp teeth. Along the way, you might even come across an imprisoned dwarf who could prove to be more than just a simple NPC.
Tin Man Games has enhanced this digital version with a host of user-friendly features. Players can enjoy adjustable difficulty settings and a Free Read mode, allowing for a more relaxed exploration without the pressure of combat. An auto-mapping feature ensures you never lose your way in the labyrinth. Additionally, the game includes unlimited bookmarks and an integrated adventure sheet that effortlessly tracks your stats and inventory.
Eye of the Dragon now joins other revered titles in the series such as The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, Deathtrap Dungeon, Assassins of Allansia, The Port of Peril, Bloodbones, Forest of Doom, House of Hell, and Trial of Champions. Tin Man Games is also working on more titles to add to the Fighting Fantasy Classics lineup.
