Charlie Cox's successful transition from Netflix to the MCU as Daredevil has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other characters from the Defenders series. Finn Jones, who portrayed Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, in the Netflix series, recently expressed his eagerness to reprise the role. Jones last played Iron Fist in Season 2 of the series and in the crossover event, The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite the less favorable reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist compared to other Defenders characters, the integration of Daredevil into the MCU has rekindled hopes for a revival of the entire Defenders team. Reports suggest that Marvel is considering exploring this idea further.

At the LaConve anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he received for his portrayal of Iron Fist. He acknowledged the mixed feelings among fans but expressed his determination to improve and prove his detractors wrong. "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen," Jones stated, referring to his potential return. "There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

The continuity established with Daredevil: Born Again, which directly follows the Netflix series, has officially integrated the Defenders' narrative into the MCU canon. This integration extends to other characters, such as Jon Bernthal's Punisher, who also transitions from Netflix to the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again.

As the MCU continues to expand, the possibility of seeing other Defenders characters like Iron Fist return remains a topic of interest and debate among fans and within Marvel's planning circles.
