Developed by Kautki Cave and published by Untold Tales, Flame Keeper brings its unique roguelite experience to Android. Originally revealed in December 2022, the game debuted on PC in June 2024 following an early access period on Steam starting December 2023.
Players control Ignis, a sentient coal fragment fighting to reignite Orbis' fading Eternal Flame. The core mechanic presents an interesting dilemma - Ignis must sacrifice his own vitality to power the Fire Camps that bring light to the world.
The combat system offers various techniques including punch combos, flame dashes, area stomps, and devastating finishers. Strategic stamina management becomes crucial - reckless attacks leave you vulnerable against evolving enemy formations.
As players progress through increasingly difficult biomes, they encounter diverse enemies whose traits are gradually revealed through the Bestiary system. Permanent progression comes through collecting seeds for new abilities and earning runes by completing challenges, allowing for extensive character customization.
The dynamic Vulpis Village hub evolves alongside player progress, serving as both a safe haven and upgrade center using gathered resources.
Flame Keeper delivers fresh mechanics wrapped in compelling gameplay loops. The Android version is currently available on Google Play Store at $4.99, with a limited-time launch discount bringing the price down to $3.49.
