New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The gaming world is back in full swing after the holiday break! While we anxiously await Nintendo Switch 2 news, let's focus on some exciting updates for a beloved franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed adventures in Hawaii.

The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature two distinct fighting styles: a nimble, speed-oriented approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can recruit a unique crew of allies to aid in combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands and original side quests to discover during gameplay.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism from SEGA.
