Sony has confirmed the global release times for PlayStation 5 exclusive Ghost of Yotei.
Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima sequel has an official release date of October 2, but fans in certain parts of the United States can play it early, starting October 1, Sony confirmed to IGN.
It’s worth noting Ghost of Yotei includes a significant day-one patch that brings numerous meaningful improvements to the game. Sony shared the patch notes with IGN and confirmed disc owners must install this update. Sony also urged players to ensure they’re on Version 1.006 before launching the game.
Ghost of Yotei’s pre-load via the PlayStation Store became available last week, with the game requiring over 85GB of storage.
IGN’s Ghost of Yotei review awarded it an 8/10. We said: “A predictable but well-executed story carries you through Ghost of Yotei’s stunning landscapes and satisfying, fluid combat — it may not redefine open-world gaming, but it’s a refined expression of the samurai fantasy.”
