Stealth becomes essential for completing certain missions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, particularly during the challenging "Storm" quest. While stealth is usually optional, this mission demands careful navigation to succeed.
The "Storm" quest concludes the main storyline in the Trosky Region and introduces the Kuttenberg Region. Like the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" mission, you start at a disadvantage—deprived of armor, weapons, and vital supplies like Saviour Schnapps. Your health and stamina also remain reduced due to prior torture.
You can scavenge basic gear from guards that Katherine neutralized during your prison break. While their equipment isn't ideal, it provides crucial protection. Katherine also lends you her dagger, enabling stealth takedowns. Your objective is to reach the peak of the Crone in Trosky. The guards along the path are spaced far enough apart that you can either eliminate them silently or bypass them using distractions.

At the Crone's summit, you encounter Istvan Toth. Since this confrontation doesn't affect the best ending, choosing a dishonorable approach may be wiser if combat proves difficult. Engaging in a duel risks swift defeat due to your weakened state. After dealing with Toth, search the chamber for crucial documents and retrieve your confiscated belongings.
With Toth defeated and your equipment recovered, return to the dungeon to rejoin your allies. They will rearm themselves and guide you through escape tunnels, making this the simplest segment of the mission.
The most demanding part of "Storm" follows—stealthily traversing enemy-patrolled hills. Since guards alert each other when spotting you, detection often leads to multiple confrontations. Compounding the difficulty, your weakened state from torture makes stealth kills riskier.

Begin by taking the rightward path uphill, eventually reaching a larger route swarming with patrols. Continue carefully until you locate Mika, who has been captured. Eliminate his guard discreetly and free him—this checkpoint saves your progress and provides essential directions for reaching the next objective.

The final stretch demands meticulous stealth. Follow Mika's marked locations before heading east and southeast toward Apollonia's main road. Stick to the roadside vegetation to avoid guards. While the marked area appears expansive, progressing halfway triggers the concluding cutscene. Use thrown stones as distractions when necessary to slip past patrols. The cutscene signals your successful escape, transitioning you to the Kuttenberg Region.
As one of the few Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 quests requiring mandatory stealth, "Storm" benefits greatly from prior stealth skill investment—making detection avoidance significantly easier.
