Gyarados Plaza at Pokémon Center Hiroshima: Not Your Typical Water Park

Pokémon Center Hiroshima is set to close its current location in March 2025 and will reopen at a new site around April 2025. Pokémon Center Hiroshima Relocates to a New Spot

Pokémon Center Hiroshima will close its doors at the end of March 2025 and relocate to a new home on the second floor of Ekie, located just outside the north exit of Hiroshima Station. The reopening is scheduled for approximately April 2025. Originally opened in June 2015, the store has been operating on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, near the RIHGA Royal Hotel and across from the Hiroshima Prefectural Office.

Introducing Gyarados Plaza – A Play Space Inspired by a Fan-Favorite Pokémon

Alongside the store’s move, “Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima” will open on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, part of the new Minamoa Hiroshima Station complex. Designed as a space where fans of all ages can enjoy time with Pokémon, the plaza features large-scale play equipment modeled after Gyarados—the iconic Pokémon associated with the Hiroshima store.

The plaza is set to open on March 24, 2025. For a limited time after launch, visitors must make advance reservations to use the playground. Additional details regarding access and booking will be shared on the official Minamoa website.

The current Pokémon Center Hiroshima location remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Sunday.

Nationwide “Poke-lun TV” Celebration Event

In celebration of “Poke-lun TV” surpassing 1 million subscribers, participating Pokémon Centers across Japan—including the Hiroshima location—will host a special nationwide event from January 17, 2025, to February 16, 2025.

Visitors can receive an exclusive original sticker by obtaining a password from the “Poke-lun TV” YouTube video released on December 19, 2024, and sharing it with staff at any participating store.

Additionally, Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa will feature studio-style photo zones showcasing the beloved hosts of Poke-lun TV—Takkun, Tokichan, Ha-chan, Tai-chan, and Riri-chan—allowing fans to take fun, themed photos.

Please note: This event is only available at physical Pokémon Center stores and does not extend to Pokémon Store locations, Pokémon Center Online, Pokémon Café, or Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café.
