Hades 2 is officially heading to both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 as a timed console exclusive. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, developer Supergiant has confirmed that this much-anticipated sequel will launch simultaneously on PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), the original Nintendo Switch, and the enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
Although the Nintendo Direct last week revealed that Hades 2 would be coming to the next-gen Switch 2, Supergiant’s recent update adds clarity—and exciting news—that the game will not only arrive on both Switch models at launch but will also remain a timed exclusive on Nintendo platforms. This means no PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S versions will be available during that window.

As of now, there's no official word on when Hades 2 might expand to other consoles beyond Nintendo’s ecosystem. However, given the success of the original title across platforms, it's likely only a matter of time before it makes its way elsewhere.
IGN’s Hades 2 early-access review praised the game for its depth and polish, stating: “Hades 2 feels impossibly huge and unbelievably polished by any standard, much less an early access game. Mel is awesome, the new tweaks to the combat and progression are excellent, and it's just unbelievably feature packed with twice the content of the first. What’s here right out of the gate is astounding, and the thought of more coming on the way is a tantalizing treat.”
