The Haunted Mirror is arguably the safest Cursed Object in *Phasmophobia*, offering significant rewards that outweigh the potential risks. Its functionality remains consistent across game updates, making it a highly recommended tool if encountered during an investigation.

Its primary benefit lies in its ability to reveal the ghost's current favorite room or area. By providing a panoramic view of that location, the Haunted Mirror significantly speeds up the investigation process, allowing you to strategically position your equipment before things get too dangerous. This is especially helpful for quickly identifying the ghost's location and preparing your defenses.

You'll typically find the Haunted Mirror hanging on a wall (as seen in 6 Tanglewood Drive, for example) or lying on the floor in its predetermined location. Remember, Cursed Objects always spawn in the same spot on a map; it's the *type* of Cursed Object that's randomized.

To use it, simply pick up the mirror and interact with it using the appropriate button (mouse or controller). Its reflection will display the ghost's current haunt. On Professional difficulty and above, be mindful that the ghost's location might change after a period of time.

However, exercise caution! Prolonged gazing into the Haunted Mirror drains your sanity. Holding it for the entire duration will shatter the mirror and trigger a terrifying Cursed Hunt at your current location. Therefore, use it wisely when your sanity is high and be sure you understand what you're seeing in the reflection.

Cursed Possessions, often called "Cursed Objects," are unique items that randomly appear on any map (though the likelihood can depend on difficulty and Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment that helps locate and identify ghosts with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts or advantages at a significantly higher risk to your character.

The risk level associated with each Cursed Object varies, leaving the decision of whether or not to use them entirely up to you and your team. There's no penalty for choosing not to use them. Only one Cursed Possession will spawn per contract (unless modified in Custom settings).

The game currently features seven different Cursed Objects:

  • Summoning Circle
  • Haunted Mirror
  • Voodoo Doll
  • Music Box
