Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes. Expect a revamped minion lineup, flashy new tech, and a cosmic theme that'll leave the Tavern feeling brand new.

Key Changes and New Features:

• Bob's Technotavern Upgrade: Prepare for a complete overhaul! This season resets ratings and eliminates Trinkets, replacing them with exciting Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable choices.

• Minion Reveal Schedule: The new season's minion reveals are staggered:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.

• Three New Heroes: Season 9 introduces three powerful new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz thanks to his Galaxy's Lens ability.

• Minion Pool Revamp: Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the pool, drastically altering gameplay strategies.

• Damage Cap Adjustment (Solo Mode): A new damage cap is implemented for solo Battlegrounds games, starting at 5 damage in the early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

• Minion Rollout:

  • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the pool.
  • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the fray.
  • December 9th: Undead and Elementals complete the lineup.
