WB Games has unveiled an exciting announcement for Harry Potter fans worldwide: Hogwarts Legacy will officially support mods starting this Thursday. This PC-exclusive feature stands as the centerpiece of an upcoming patch available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The update introduces the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit - a comprehensive toolkit empowering players to craft new dungeons, custom quests, and character modifications. Popular modding platform CurseForge will serve as the official hub for publishing and managing community-made content. The game will also implement a built-in mod manager, streamlining the process of discovering and installing player creations.
Several pre-approved mods will be available immediately upon launch, including the challenging Dungeon of Doom which pits players against waves of enemies while uncovering hidden secrets. Note that players will need to link their Hogwarts Legacy account with a WB Games account to access these modding features.
The update adds new character personalization elements such as additional hairstyles and outfits. Developers have previewed potential mod examples through a newly released trailer.
Meanwhile, development continues on the sequel to this successful wizarding adventure. Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed the project remains a top corporate priority, signaling continued investment in the magical franchise.
