Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6: Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age Arrives October 23rd

HoYoverse has unveiled details for Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.6 update, "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," launching October 23rd. This update transports players to Penacony and its vibrant Paperfold University, celebrating its anniversary with a flurry of student activities, club recruitment drives, and academic events.

The Spotlight: Rappa

The update introduces Rappa, a new 5-star Galaxy Ranger character who also identifies as a ninja. Her gameplay revolves around ninjutsu, incorporating ninja mantras, scrolls, graffiti, and rap elements. Rappa's quest focuses on hunting down the villainous Evil Ninja Osaru, culminating in a unique ultimate attack, Sealform Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade, featuring a first-person perspective that allows players to decimate enemies and significantly reduce their Toughness.

Events and Updates

Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6 features several engaging events:

• Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription: Players manage a band for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party, collaborating with Rappa to deliver an electrifying performance.
• Character Reruns: Limited 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine return in the warp event during the update's first and second halves.

The Simulated Universe receives a substantial upgrade, surpassing the scale of previous additions like Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. The third DLC, the Unknowable Domain, introduces a massive void connected to post-Second Emperor's War conflicts involving scholars and the powerful Scepter system – an external thinking unit composed of inorganic bionic neurons. Players must collect and upgrade Scepters, utilizing component synergies to defeat a challenging final boss.
