Yesterday, IGN unveiled that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available for play at an Australian museum starting in September 2025, and they released a sprite sheet from the much-awaited game, sparking a wave of reactions across the internet.

A Reddit thread analyzing the exclusive sheet prompted one user to question, "In what situation [is] making a sprite of naked Hornet necessary?" Among the numerous images of Silksong's protagonist, Hornet, depicted in various combat and relaxed poses, one particular sprite stands out: Hornet casually carrying her cloak under one arm. This image, visible on the right-hand side of the original sheet just below the topmost ring, has drawn significant attention.

One Reddit user humorously remarked, "What kind of situation in-game calls for her to remove her cloak and hold it like she's an exhausted dad returning from work? This is cursed." Another expressed disbelief, "Is this real???? There’s no way this is a sprite that is going to be in Silksong. Is that just what she looks like????" while yet another demanded, "IN WHAT KIND OF SITUATION WOULD THEY EVEN NEED THIS SPRITE?"

The conversation took a playful turn with some users suggesting, "So, we don't have to bother making a mod," and another joking, "We're going straight to ESRB 18+ for this one." A thread OP exclaimed, "HORNET PUT YOUR CLOAK BACK ON THAT'S SO INDECENT WHAT THE HELL," eliciting responses like "This looks so wrong," and "this is completely unnecessary." Another user simply stated, "I do not like this."

While the exact purpose of this sprite remains unclear, a likely theory is that players may have the option to upgrade or change Hornet's cloak. Until official details are released, fans are left to speculate and enjoy the humorous reactions.
