Iansan’s First Teaser and an Official Reveal of Varesa in Genshin Impact 5.5

Genshin Impact's developers have finally started teasing a new character for the eagerly awaited update 5.5! As is often the case, miHoYo (now known as HoYoverse) has been outpaced by insiders who leaked the concept art and gameplay details well in advance. However, this time, the spotlight is firmly on Varesa, and it's not just another leak—it's an official reveal! Varesa is set to be a 5-star Electro character, skillfully wielding a Catalyst in battle.

Iansan, a mentor figure in Varesa's life, describes her with affection and admiration:

"Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. No matter where she travels, she’s like a child on an adventure—always searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"

Joining Varesa in update 5.5 is another exciting addition: Iansan! Previously known only as an NPC, Iansan now steps into the playable character roster. She's a 4-star Electro user, wielding a Polearm with precision and power.
