Infinity Nikki offers compensation for the issues in version 1.5's release. Read on to learn more about what players will receive due to the game's shortcomings and what developer Infold Games plans to do.
Infinity Nikki released version 1.5 with high anticipation from fans, as developer Infold Games promised significant improvements. However, the update fell short, leading to an unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content. In a Twitter (X) post on May 18, Infold Games addressed the issue and offered compensation.
The update introduced numerous technical issues and bugs across various platforms, some of which made the game unplayable. Additionally, sudden changes to the system increased the cost of 5-star outfits from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces, raising the maximum number of pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220. This made acquiring full sets significantly more expensive and time-consuming for players.
A new dye system was also introduced, which players found confusing and tedious due to the need to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. The Threads of Reunion storyline was removed in this update because the associated outfit is still in development. Infold Games stated, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive 120 Diamonds and 1 Energy Crystal every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling 960 Diamonds and 8 Energy Crystals."
Despite acknowledging the issues and providing compensation, the studio has yet to outline its plans to fix these problems. Fans have expressed their concerns in the comments, including issues with the pity system, the dye system, and other bugs.
Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, the developers have decided to extend its duration to address the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 will be delayed until June 12, 2025, affecting the release and schedule of in-game events.
The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, originally scheduled for May 20, will now debut in version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
The developers are addressing the numerous issues brought about by version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," Infold explained.
To improve communication with players, Infold Games is launching a new initiative called the Miraland Round Table. Players can share their concerns and feedback directly with the developers by emailing the game's official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expressed "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They promise to make the game "shine brighter than ever."
