Madden NFL 26 Sets Release Date, Launches on Nintendo Switch 2, Skips PS4 and Xbox One

Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the release date for the latest installment in the Madden NFL series, and fans are in for a treat as the franchise takes a significant step into the current generation of gaming consoles. Madden NFL 26 is slated to hit the shelves on August 14, 2025, with an exciting three-day early access window for those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition, beginning on August 11. This next chapter in the pro football gaming saga will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC via the EA app for Windows, Steam, and Epic, and notably, it will also launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

This move to the Nintendo Switch 2 marks a significant expansion for the series, but it also signifies a farewell to the last generation of consoles. Madden NFL 26 will not be released on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, fully embracing the capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series platforms.
