If you're a fan of *League of Legends* and have played *Balatro*, you're in for a treat with the new minigame, Demon's Hand, available in the *League* client until the end of April. This card game brings a fresh twist to your gaming experience, and here’s how you can get started.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

First, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. This will launch you into an engaging story introduction before your first round of the card game begins.

Your hand of cards appears at the bottom of the screen. In the bottom right corner, you'll find your health, coins, and percent crit chance. Just above that is your Sigil box, where you can have up to six Sigils active at once, although you start with none. Remember, your health isn't restored after each battle; instead, you'll need to visit tent locations on the map to restore a percentage of your health.

The enemy card is displayed at the top of the screen, with its health shown in the bottom right and its damage in the bottom left. To the left of the enemy card, you'll see an attack coin indicating how many hands you can play before the enemy strikes back. On the left edge of the screen, there's a book listing all possible hands you can play as attacks, along with their base damage in a standard round.

How To Play Demon’s Hand in League of Legends

To deal damage, you'll need to play poker hands, each with a unique name in Demon’s Hand. Here's a breakdown of the hands and their corresponding poker terminology, along with the base damage they deal:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

In addition to the base damage, the numerical value of each card contributes to the total damage. If the enemy has a special ability that negates a specific suit, cards of that suit will be crossed out. You can still play these cards, but their numerical value won't count towards the damage.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils add another layer of strategy to Demon’s Hand. You can purchase them during store phases, marked by coins on the map, which you earn by defeating enemies. Each Sigil offers a unique ability, visible when you hover over them in the store or during a round. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like boosting the damage of Dyads, while others can provide extra turns before enemy attacks or reduce the damage you receive.

That's everything you need to know to dive into the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If this minigame isn't your cup of tea, keep an eye out for the exciting April Fools skins coming to Summoner’s Rift.
