Producer Noriaki Okamura, in a recent 4Gamer interview, stated that the studio's top priority for 2025 is delivering a refined, high-quality remake that meets fan expectations. Okamura emphasized the team's dedication, noting the game is currently playable from start to finish, with remaining development time focused on polishing details and enhancing overall quality.

While PlayStation previously speculated a 2024 release, that timeline proved unattainable. Sources within Konami now confirm a 2025 launch across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The remake aims to faithfully capture the essence of the original while integrating modern gameplay mechanics and stunning visuals. Beyond graphical enhancements, Okamura promised new features designed to elevate the gameplay experience.
