Supercell's mo.co has revealed the full details of its most expansive update yet: Chapter 2: Portal Problems. Although the official release date remains unconfirmed, Supercell is already building excitement by previewing the new content. Players can expect a world teeming with bizarre cat-like monsters, a dynamic combat system, and mind-bending maps.
This new chapter introduces a host of strange new adversaries. You'll encounter the projectile-spamming Arrow Cat, the crab-walking Skitter, and an utterly indifferent final boss known as The Lazy Queen.
Adding to the chaos are Whisker, a wildcard with enigmatic abilities, and Scratcher, a close-quarters brawler. Duke is a living statue that blends combat with environmental lore. Finally, there's Blue Herring, an eccentric character always seen carrying a fish.
Maps in Mo.Co Chapter 2: Portal Problems are also becoming more surreal. Battle through Frostpaw Dock, a watery arena filled with feline foes, and the Living Art Galleries, where statues and paintings spring to life during combat. New location types, including Secret Rifts and cat-themed Dojos, also debut, offering unique tactical challenges.
A new weapon, The Shotbow, makes a permanent return, merging bow and shotgun mechanics with striking new visual effects. The Time Claw unleashes an area-of-effect burst every six attacks. Meanwhile, the Poison Bow specializes in dealing damage over time, perfect for a hit-and-run playstyle.
The traditional lobby system has been replaced with a new teaming feature. You can now directly add friends while participating in events or rift runs. Leaderboards have also been completely redesigned, now featuring private rankings for your friends and groups.
PvP is being enhanced with four rotating competitive modes. Instead of just climbing a ranked ladder, you'll now compete to earn Stars. A new five-belt progression system has been implemented, with the highest achievement being the Black Belt. This top rank unlocks exclusive titles for players who demonstrate mastery in these modes.
This update is undoubtedly the most significant since the game launched in March. We are hopeful it will be released shortly. While we await more specific release information, you can download the game from the Google Play Store.
