Niantic has revealed the first details for Monster Hunter Now Season Six, titled Scarlet Gaze in the Gloam, launching June 19, 2025. This update introduces new weapons, skills, and fresh challenges to the augmented reality hunting experience.
Season Six introduces Riftborne monsters – creatures mutated by mysterious environmental rifts. The initial lineup includes enhanced versions of Rathian, Tobi-Kadachi, and Barroth, appearing at 8-star difficulty or higher.
The update also debuts the hunting horn weapon class. This versatile instrument combines offensive power with team support capabilities. As you attack, you'll accumulate notes that can be arranged into powerful melodies. These musical combinations provide buffs like attack boosts, defense increases, and Special Gauge acceleration.
The season introduces style customization - a deep weapon modification system for grade 8+ equipment. Each weapon gains access to two distinct styles that alter gameplay mechanics, including long-press actions and combo sequences.
As Season Five concludes (which introduced Glavenus), hunters can prepare to track new quarry including Nargacuga, Beotodus, Bishaten, and Great Wroggi. Existing monsters like Jyuratodus, Anjanath, and Barioth will also appear throughout the season.
The update brings significant gameplay changes, including the Magnificent Trio (SP) ability that resets active melody durations, giving hunters more strategic options during battles.
