Monster Hunter Now is introducing Monster Outbreaks, an experimental feature currently undergoing player testing. Niantic aims to gather feedback before fully implementing this exciting addition.
The testing window occurs April 26-27 during specific one-hour sessions: 10:00-10:59 AM and 3:00-3:59 PM local time each day.
During these events, designated outbreak locations will spawn clusters of challenging 8-star Black Diablos monsters. Hunters must cooperate locally (no party feature available) to defeat 100 monsters per outbreak zone within the timeframe.
Participation requires HR 11+, and hunt progress combines across groups - four hunters defeating one monster counts as four toward the goal.
Outbreak zones appear on maps with distinctive icons showing detailed info and host sign-up rosters for coordinated hunting.
After reaching the 100-monster target, hunting continues through the remaining time for additional rewards. Successful groups earn substantial prizes including:
Registered participants may also receive the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
