Capcom has rolled out hotfix 1.000.05.00 for *Monster Hunter Wilds*, bringing a wave of critical fixes and improvements across all platforms. While the update addresses several progression issues and bug-related concerns, performance enhancements remain notably absent from the official patch notes.
Despite its record-breaking launch, *Monster Hunter Wilds* continues to face a “mixed” user reception on Steam, with many players citing persistent performance issues on PC as the primary concern. Nevertheless, the game’s commercial success is undeniable—selling over 8 million copies within just three days of release, making it Capcom’s fastest-selling title to date.
In terms of player activity, *Monster Hunter Wilds* also shattered concurrent player count records on Steam, peaking at an impressive 1,384,608 players simultaneously online. This figure surpasses the peak numbers of major titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. For comparison, *Monster Hunter: World* peaked at around 334,684 players.
A substantial title update expected in early April will expand the game experience by introducing a new endgame area packed with additional gathering opportunities and fresh monster-hunting challenges for seasoned hunters.
