Square Enix marked NieR's 15th Anniversary with a range of announcements, showcasing their commitment to expanding the franchise's universe. During the livestream held on April 19, they introduced an online Special Novel titled [U]ndecided Option, which promises to captivate fans with its mysterious narrative.
The novel is set to be released in three parts, with the first part already accessible. The subsequent updates will be released on April 25 and May 2. The novel's synopsis teases an intriguing story where a 'servant' encounters a mysterious boy, leading to an unfolding adventure.
In addition to the novel, Square Enix launched a dedicated 15th Anniversary website, serving as the hub for all related projects and events planned for the celebration.
Square Enix is set to host an exhibition at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Japan, featuring fresh artwork of the protagonists from NieR: Replicant, NieR: Automata, and NieR Re[in]carnation. Details about tickets and other logistics will be shared soon.
