This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to add them to your collection.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep
The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect boosted encounter rates for both, including their Shiny variants.
Catching Pawmi
Pawmi appears starting December 23rd at 3 PM on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its sleep type is Snoozing, a common sleep type easily achieved. A Balanced sleep type might also yield Pawmi, though less frequently. Remember, while you can evolve Pawmi using Candies, you can only study its sleep style through wild encounters.
Catching Alolan Vulpix
Alolan Vulpix, also debuting December 23rd at 3 PM, is more elusive. It's found exclusively on Snowdrop Tundra. Its sleep type is Slumbering, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep. While a Balanced sleep type might work, the chances are lower.
Best Island for the Holiday Event
To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, focus on Snowdrop Tundra during the event. However, be aware that this island often has high team requirements, so preparation is key.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
