"A Perfect Day: New Time-Loop Puzzle Game Set in 1999"

Littoral Games has brought us another delightful title for Android with "A Perfect Day Pocket – Go back to 1999." If you've enjoyed their previous games, "Growing Up" and "Chinese Parents," you'll find the same cozy atmosphere in this new release. The game's art style, reminiscent of "Growing Up," features beautiful water-colored hand-painted visuals that are compelling enough to tell the story on their own.

During its launch week, from February 27th to March 5th, "A Perfect Day – Go back to 1999" is available at a special price of $1.99. After the launch week, the price will increase to $2.99 on Android. If you pre-registered for the game, you can claim a Panda Quake Mini 4WD by visiting Brother Cao at the Youth Palace. Additionally, a limited-time Easter egg, the Old Uniform, can be found in 'My Bedroom' until March 26th.

What’s the Premise of A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999?

As the title suggests, "A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999" transports you back to the year 1999, a hallmark of Littoral Games' focus on nostalgic narratives set in the 90s and early 2000s. In this game, you experience a time-loop narrative puzzle, reliving the last day of 1999 as an elementary schoolboy caught in a loop reminiscent of "Groundhog Day."

The game is structured around seven time segments, featuring eleven main characters, twenty event cards, and one free DLC. Your mission is to uncover secrets about your classmates, friends, and family while striving to help everyone achieve their 'perfect day' on December 31st, 1999.

Repeat, Revisit, and Rewrite

"A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999" delves into themes of memories, regrets, and choices. You have the opportunity to revisit childhood friendships, explore the lives of young parents, and make decisions that influence the narrative. The story's interconnected structure allows for different outcomes as you repeat the same day.

The game also includes several mini-games that capture the essence of 90s gaming, such as a Mini 4WD race, a Gamicom console, and an arcade. With its interactive storytelling and nostalgic visuals, "A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999" is definitely worth exploring.
