Pokémon Go is getting ready for Christmas with the Holiday Part 1 event later this month

Get ready for the Pokémon Go Holiday Part One event! Running from December 17th to 22nd, this festive event brings double XP for catching Pokémon, halved Egg hatch distances, and exciting new encounters.

A holiday-themed Dedenne, including a shiny variant, makes its debut! Shiny Sandygast also appears for the first time. Keep an eye out for Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka in the wild.

Raids offer a festive lineup: Pikachu and Psyduck in holiday outfits in one-star raids; Glaceon and Cryogonal in three-star raids; and Mega Latias and Mega Latios in Mega Raids.

7km Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks (including a paid Timed Research option) for rewards like themed Pokémon and Premium Battle Passes.
