Pokémon TCG Pocket to Drop Trade Feature, Launch Space-Time Smackdown Expansion

Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to roll out some thrilling updates that fans have been eagerly awaiting. One of the most anticipated features, trading, is finally making its way into the game, along with the exciting Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This means you'll soon be able to trade cards with your friends directly within the game, enhancing your overall experience.

When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars for January 29th, 2025, when trading becomes available in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Just one day later, on January 30th, you can dive into the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. This update also brings stylish new covers for your digital binder and display board, featuring the iconic Sinnoh legends Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

The introduction of trading has been a long-awaited feature, and to facilitate this, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. You can trade cards up to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, trading will be limited to cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised that more cards will become tradeable in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion is a homage to the Sinnoh region, bringing two new booster packs that spotlight the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, along with fresh card illustrations. Alongside these legends, you'll also find Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, and the beloved Sinnoh starter Pokémon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Are you excited about the prospect of trading cards or eager to expand your collection with Sinnoh legends? Whatever your interest, you can grab Pokémon TCG Pocket from the Google Play Store.
