The trading feature in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has been available for some time now, and it's been quite a journey to reach this stage. However, the TCG developers have listened to player feedback, as the new Wishlist feature is finally being introduced to resolve our trading challenges for good.
Starting with the July 29th update, you'll no longer need to hope for the best when trading cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Players can now specify which cards they want to acquire, with the ability to add up to 20 cards to their Wishlist via the My Cards screen, and showcase three of them prominently on their main profile.
Does this mean I can finally obtain that original Charizard ex that's been elusive since launch day? Perhaps not immediately, but at the very least, I'll have control over which cards other players can offer me, rather than receiving yet another random Exeggutor to add to my substantial Exeggutor collection.

Another significant change - Trade Tokens are being phased out and replaced entirely with Shinedust. This means you won't need to sacrifice cards to obtain Trade Tokens anymore. Additionally, you'll receive double the amount of Shinedust when pulling duplicate cards from card packs.
What should you do with your existing Trade Tokens? Fortunately, they can be converted into other valuable items through a 1:1 exchange for Pack Hourglasses (up to 60 times). Alternatively, each Trade Token can be converted into 10 Shinedust with no conversion limits.
These improvements demonstrate that the developers are actively listening to community feedback, which is always encouraging. It's no surprise that Pokemon TCG Pocket has earned a nomination for the Pocket Gamer People's Choice Award 2025. If you haven't cast your vote yet, now is the perfect opportunity to show your support for this beloved trading card game!
