Niantic announces major Pokemon Go event in Sao Paulo, Brazil! Get ready for a city-wide celebration in December. The details are still under wraps, but expect a Pikachu-sized surprise.

Charts showing Pokemon Go's revenue changes in Brazil

This exciting news was revealed at gamescom latam 2024 by Niantic's Alan Madujano (Head of Operations in LATAM), Eric Araki (Country Manager for Brazil), and Leonardo Willie (Community Manager for Emerging Markets). They highlighted Pokemon Go's immense popularity in Brazil, fueled in part by reduced in-game item prices.

The Sao Paulo event is just the beginning.
