Pokemon GO has announced that Ralts will be the star of January's Community Day Classic, set to take place on January 25 from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. This event offers trainers a golden opportunity to catch Ralts, the base form of Gardevoir, which is renowned as one of the best Psychic-type Pokemon from Generation 3.
Community Day is a beloved recurring event in Niantic's augmented reality game, eagerly awaited by the Pokemon GO community. To cater to those who might have missed out on previous events, Pokemon GO introduced Community Day Classic in 2022, bringing back popular Community Days. In 2024, the featured Pokemon for the Community Day Classic events in January, April, June, and August were Porygon, Bagon, Cyndaquil, and Beldum, respectively.
During the January 25 event, Ralts will appear more frequently in the wild, increasing the chances of encountering a shiny version. Evolving Kirlia, Ralts' evolution, during the Community Day Classic or within five hours after its conclusion, will result in a Gardevoir or Gallade that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise. This powerful move inflicts 80 damage in raids, trainer battles, and gyms. Additional event bonuses include extended durations for Lure Modules and Incense, as well as reduced distances for hatching eggs in incubators.
For just $2, players can purchase Special Research, which includes rewards such as a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Ralts featuring themed backgrounds from the current season. Timed Research will offer four Sinnoh Stones and an encounter with Ralts. The Community Day Classic will also feature a new Continued Timed Research, rewarding trainers with Ralts encounters with special backgrounds, and Field Research that provides Stardust and Great Balls. New Showcases and offers will be introduced, including a $4.99 Ultra Box available through the Pokemon GO Web Store, and two in-game bundles priced at 1350 and 480 PokeCoins.
Ralts was first introduced to Pokemon GO in 2017 with the launch of the Hoenn region and made its Community Day debut in August 2019. This event is part of a series of activities planned for January, which also includes the return of Shadow Ho-Oh during an upcoming Shadow Day. Additionally, the community is eagerly anticipating details about the Lunar New Year event, a tradition in Pokemon GO since 2018.
