The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Shining Revelry, has brought a dazzling array of shiny variants and over 110 new cards to the game. This update includes exciting additions from the Paldea region, making it a must-have for collectors and players alike. As soon as the update went live, I couldn't resist using my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs, and to my delight, I pulled a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less impressive. The highlight, however, was getting the Pokémon Center Lady card, which can heal Special Conditions—a crucial advantage when facing opponents who inflict Burns or other status effects.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event where players can earn stylish new badges to show off to friends. The real excitement, however, comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players will now have the chance to battle other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank over the course of approximately one month. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the season, you'll be awarded an emblem, adding a competitive edge to the game. It's time to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some serious decks.
If you're eager to dive into the fun, you can download Pokémon TCG Pocket for free on the App Store and Google Play, though there are in-app purchases available.
