In this game, you cultivate vibrant ecosystems by strategically placing flora and fauna cards. Build lush forests, serene wetlands, and sprawling meadows, all while managing a balanced food web for every species.

Preserve features several distinct ways to play. In Harmony mode, your goal is to earn harmony points by establishing new habitats, introducing animals, unlocking natural wonders, and expanding your territory.

Puzzle mode presents you with carefully designed, smaller maps and a set deck of cards, challenging you to achieve specific scoring objectives. Classic mode focuses on the essential gameplay loop of maintaining balance while growing your world.

For unrestricted creation, Creative mode removes all goals and limits, letting you design landscapes purely for pleasure. After each session, Photo mode allows you to capture and share your finished masterpiece.

The game’s design goes beyond simple horizontal expansion. A unique vertical layering system lets you stack habitats, allowing your nature reserves to grow upward as well as outward.

The hex-based map is divided into three elevation tiers: lowlands, highlands, and mountains. These levels directly influence which types of plants and animals can thrive in each area.

From alpine forests and sunlit savannas to vibrant Caribbean reefs and frozen arctic tundras, each biome introduces unique species, environmental conditions, and gameplay mechanics.
