Rainbow Six Siege, celebrating its tenth anniversary, is embarking on a significant transformation with Siege X, a comprehensive update akin to CS2's impact on CS:GO. Launching June 10th, Siege X ushers in a new era, making the game free-to-play for everyone.
Here's a glimpse into the key changes:
New Mode: Dual Front – This exciting 6v6 mode blends attack and defense operators. Teams battle to capture zones and plant sabotage devices across a map divided into three areas per team and a central neutral zone. Respawn time is set at 30 seconds.
Advanced Rappel System – Enhanced rappelling mechanics allow vertical and horizontal rope usage, adding strategic depth.
Increased Environmental Destruction – Expect more interactive environments with destructible elements like fire extinguishers and gas pipes, opening up new tactical possibilities.
Map Reworks – Five popular maps receive major overhauls, promising refreshed gameplay experiences.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Siege X boasts significant visual and audio upgrades for an immersive experience.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – Ubisoft is strengthening its anti-cheat systems and implementing measures to combat toxic behavior within the community.
A closed beta will be available in the next seven days for players who tune into Siege streams.
