Square Enix has delighted fans by releasing SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered on mobile and other platforms. This beloved title, which originally debuted on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and 2000 in North America and Europe, returns with enhanced visuals and fresh content.
SaGa Frontier 2 unfolds in the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic operates through a mystical force known as Anima. The narrative primarily follows two protagonists: Gustave, a royal with no aptitude for magic, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a lineage of diggers on a quest for ancient relics called Quells.
Gustave's journey begins with his exile from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to harness Anima, a critical skill in their society. On the other hand, William, or Wil, is driven by the mystery surrounding his parents' demise and a mind-altering relic known as the Egg.
The remastered version of SaGa Frontier 2 boasts significantly upgraded graphics, with higher resolution and beautifully refined watercolor backgrounds. The user interface has been redesigned for modern devices, enhancing navigation while preserving the game's classic charm.

In addition to visual enhancements, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered introduces new storylines that seamlessly integrate with the original narrative. The combat system remains a highlight, featuring three distinct battle types: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles adhere to the traditional RPG format, while Duels offer intense one-on-one confrontations where every move is crucial. Warfare, on the other hand, involves large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring that combat remains dynamic and engaging, requiring varied strategies.
The remaster also revives the glimmer system from the original game, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, along with a combo mechanic that rewards players for effectively chaining attacks with their team.
