The new year has been an exciting time for *Pokemon GO* trainers, with the introduction of new Pokemon to collect. After capturing Fidough, players are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Shroodle in *Pokemon GO*. However, obtaining this new addition isn't as simple as encountering it in the wild.
The Toxic Mouse Pokemon, Shroodle, made its debut in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle is a fresh face in the Pokemon universe. Following its debut event, Shroodle remains available for trainers to collect.
At its release, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant in *Pokemon GO*. Trainers will have to wait for a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or Team GO Rocket, to encounter a Shiny Shroodle.

Recent Pokemon debuts have increasingly avoided wild spawns, and Shroodle follows suit. Instead of finding it on your Nearby radar, trainers must hatch Shroodle from 12KM eggs. As of now, hatching from 12KM eggs is the sole method to obtain Shroodle in *Pokemon GO*. Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15 onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle, with higher odds during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Post-event, Shroodle should remain part of the 12KM egg pool.
Given that Shroodle is exclusively hatched from 12K eggs, it's helpful to know how to acquire these in *Pokemon GO*. 12K eggs are among the rarest in the game and can only be obtained by defeating a Team GO Rocket Leader or Giovanni in battle. The Taken Over event presents a prime opportunity to gather 12KM eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more active and Rocket Radars will be easier to obtain. You can challenge GO Rocket Grunts to face Sierra, Arlo, or Cliff at any time, securing a 12K egg as long as you have space in your inventory.

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuted in *Pokemon GO* on January 15. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai doesn't hatch from eggs or appear in the wild. The only way to obtain Grafaiai is by evolving a Shroodle, which requires 50 Shroodle Candies. To gather these candies, you'll need to hatch multiple Shroodle or make Shroodle your buddy Pokemon.
*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
