STALKER 2's updated PC system requirements are here, and they're intense – mirroring the game's challenging world. Prepare for a demanding experience, even on lower settings.
With launch just a week away (November 20th), the final system requirements for STALKER 2 have been revealed, highlighting the game's significant hardware demands. High settings will push even powerful PCs to their limits.
The table below details the updated system requirements:
OS | Windows 10 x64 Windows 11 x64 | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
RAM | 16GB Dual Channel | 32GB Dual Channel | ||
Storage | SSD ~160GB |
While minimum specs are relatively manageable, smooth 4K gameplay at high frame rates requires a top-tier gaming rig. "Epic" settings, in particular, rival the infamous demands of Crysis' highest settings from 2007.
Storage needs have also increased from 150GB to 160GB. An SSD is strongly recommended for optimal loading times – crucial in a game where mistakes can be deadly.
Upscaling options like Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR will be included to boost visuals without sacrificing performance. However, the specific FSR version remains unconfirmed.
The developers confirmed software ray tracing in a Gamescom 2024 interview with Wccftech. Hardware ray tracing, however, is unlikely to be available at launch, although it's currently under development.
Launching November 20, 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises a demanding, open-world, non-linear single-player experience where player choices significantly impact the story.
