Stellar Blade is getting into the holiday spirit with a festive update arriving on December 17th! This update brings new costumes, decorations, a mini-game, and a handy new option to control seasonal content. Let's dive into the details.

New Holiday Outfits and Customization

Get ready for some festive fashion! Eve and other characters receive new Christmas-themed attire:

• Santa Dress (Eve)
• Rudolph Pack (Drone)
• I’m No Santa (Adam)

Eve's holiday look can be further customized with a Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.

A Festive Xion and a New Mini-Game

Xion, the game's human settlement, is decked out for the holidays with warm lights and festive decorations. The Last Gulp and Eve's camp also get a makeover, complete with new seasonal background music ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away").

The update also introduces a new mini-game. While details are scarce, it involves targeting a holiday-themed drone for special rewards.

Control Your Seasonal Content

A welcome addition is the ability to toggle seasonal events (including the Nier:Automata DLC) on or off. This is found in the game's Settings under Gameplay, with three options:

• Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note: Changing this setting requires a restart from your last save.

Mixed Reception

The announcement was largely positive, with many fans embracing the "Christmas Eve" nickname for the protagonist. However, some players expressed concerns about the frequency of event updates in a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content was also a point of contention.
