As reported by Eurogamer on December 20th, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. is a top-down multiplayer arcade shooter with a cryptocurrency requirement for gameplay.

According to Eden Online, the game expands the universe of the Netflix series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, incorporating familiar Ubisoft franchises like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed.

This competitive online multiplayer experience is limited to 10,000 players. Access requires purchasing a Citizen ID Card, which tracks in-game achievements and rankings, and evolves based on player performance.

Players need a crypto wallet to purchase a Niji Warrior ID card NFT from Ubisoft's claim page for $25.63. Citizens can also relinquish their citizenship and sell their IDs, potentially increasing their value based on in-game success.

The full launch is slated for Q1 2025, according to Ubisoft's Magic Eden page, but early access is available to those who secured IDs early.
