The Chinese Room has recently shared exciting updates about Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, shedding light on the vampire hunters known as the Information Awareness Bureau (IAB). Operating on a shadow budget without government backing, the IAB conducts their vampire hunts, dubbed "Hollow Ones," under the guise of "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts." This intriguing faction adds a new layer of depth to the game's narrative.

Leading the IAB in Seattle is Agent Baker, a figure known for her disciplined pragmatism and unwavering dedication to permanently eliminating vampires. Her methodical approach involves investigating strange occurrences and delving into historical data to uncover the secrets of the vampire society. Her authoritative presence has earned her the moniker "The Hen" among her dedicated followers, a testament to her commanding role within the bureau.

The hunters of the IAB are a formidable force, known for their coordination and stringent security measures at their base. Facing them alone is a daunting task; they operate in well-coordinated teams, use spotlights for surveillance, and maintain constant communication through portable radios. In combat, they wield thermic batons that can bypass defensive tactics and phosphorous grenades to flush out opponents from cover. Despite their prowess, the hunters have vulnerabilities. They are physically weaker than both ghouls and vampires, making them susceptible to certain counter-strategies. For instance, players with the ability to manipulate fire can catch grenades or bolts in mid-air and hurl them back at the hunters. Additionally, members of the Ventru clan can use their powers to possess an enemy, turning them against their own team, which adds a strategic element to encounters with the IAB.
