Following the introduction of Snap Packs, the halls of Xavier's Institute are once again bustling with activity in Marvel Snap. This time, the New X-Men are making waves in your matches. The May season for this card battler introduces a roster of rising stars, including the ambitious Esme Cuckoo, the electrifying Surge, and strategic minds like Prodigy, all set to redefine the meta.

This month's season pass in Marvel Snap welcomes a fresh class of recruits, starting with Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost who has little patience for rules or hesitation. Her On Reveal effect pulls a card from your deck, adjusts its cost to three Energy with four Power, and delivers it to your hand like a psychic explosive.

But she's just the beginning. Each week, a new Series 5 mutant enters the card pool, each bringing a unique twist to your battles. You'll be navigating cost reductions, copycat strategies, and resurrection tactics throughout the month. Upcoming characters include Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn. Captain Carter's seasonal pack is also making a comeback for those who missed it earlier.

The new locations this month are equally impactful. The Pit of Exile disrupts powerful strategies before they can even start, encouraging more streamlined decks and thoughtful sequencing. Meanwhile, Genosha sets the stage for dramatic final turns by removing all but your most expensive card at the end of the game. The first, launching on May 8th, is a Penny Arcade collaboration featuring variants by Mike Krahulik. This is followed by a chibi-themed collection from Rian Gonzales on May 15th, and a disco-inspired dance party on May 30th showcasing Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Dazzler in groovy variant forms.
