Black Ops 6 Zombies Mode's New Map May Remove or Reduce Amalgams

Get ready, Zombies fans! Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is adding a brand-new map to its round-based survival mode. Prepare to explore the eerie Mansion and face the challenges that await!

Black Ops 6: A New Zombies Map Arrives

Say Goodbye to Amalgams (Maybe)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s fifth new Zombies map is almost here. A sneak peek, courtesy of the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch Studio’s X account, revealed a haunting image: a grand mansion, scarred by battle, with flaming wreckage and smoke billowing from its windows. The March 12, 2025 post, captioned "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and the #Zombies hashtag, hints at the return of a familiar face. Edward “Eddie” Richtoften, a key character from Call of Duty: Cold War (the game Black Ops 6 remakes), is back.

Sharp-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, February 1991, as indicated in the teaser image. This timeline seamlessly connects to the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, promising a thrilling continuation of the storyline.

But here’s a game-changer: Treyarch’s Instagram confirms the absence of Amalgam enemies on this map. Responding to a fan’s comment about facing hordes of Amalgams, the developers simply stated, "Nope." This news is a welcome relief for players, as Amalgams, with their high health and devastating attacks, are notoriously challenging foes. Their absence suggests a potentially smoother, less frustrating experience on this new map.
