AMD's new Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards are finally here, but like their Nvidia counterparts, they're proving elusive at retail prices. Don't despair, though! You can still snag these powerful GPUs in pre-built gaming PCs at reasonable costs. The Radeon RX 9070 series represents a new generation of mid-range champions, delivering exceptional performance while undercutting the Nvidia competition.

Our Reviews
We gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 an 8/10. Priced similarly to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, it delivers superior performance in most games tested and boasts more VRAM (16GB vs 12GB), suggesting better future-proofing. Power consumption is comparable to the RTX 5070.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 is an excellent 1440p graphics card that makes the competition all but irrelevant. It delivers excellent 1440p performance, often reaching high-refresh rates even without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. Its only drawback is its proximity in performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."
We awarded the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT a perfect 10/10. Despite costing $150 less than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT outperforms it in many games tested, with some benchmarks showing significant advantages. It also features 16GB of VRAM. However, it does consume more power and run hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"PC gaming has been in a slump since 2020, and the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is a game-changer. This graphics card effortlessly maxes out any game at 4K, even with ray tracing enabled, at a price that makes the competition seem overpriced. Only time will tell if the launch price remains competitive, but this card sets a new standard."
