Deadlock Update Nerfs Calico, Tweaks Sinclair

Valve consistently delivers fresh surprises with frequent Deadlock updates. The latest patch, while modest in scope, brings balance changes to four heroes.

Hero Adjustments

Calico suffered substantial nerfs: her Return to Shadows ability saw significant weakening with a 10-second cooldown increase and 20% speed reduction moved to Tier 2. The Tier 2 Leaping Slash damage output was also decreased.

Sinclair received quality-of-life improvements with updated sound effects and animations, along with Rabbit Hex evolving into an area-of-effect ability. Both Holliday and Wraith faced combat effectiveness reductions.

Item Changes

The update also reworked several items: Ammo Scavenger grants fewer stacks and removes its health bonus entirely. Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot lost their Fire Rate and Weapon Damage bonuses respectively.

This marks Deadlock's fifth update in 2025 and the first February patch. Valve has adopted a flexible development approach, releasing updates without a fixed schedule when gameplay adjustments become necessary.
